Naam Shabana, Bollywood first take at spin off's has left the audience intrigued by unfolding the backstory of Shabana from the much loved action spy thriller, Baby.
Taking off from the past of Shabana, the film brings to celluloid the untold story of a female spy, played by Taapsee Pannu.
News is that the makers of Naam Shabana have seeked assistance from a real life spy to add depth and realism to Taapsee Pannu's role in the film.
Director Neeraj Pandey took guidance from a full time consultant, an ex intelligence officer, who has given full details of the life of a spy in addition to sharing intricate details of their operatings.
The makers of Naam Shabana however have refrained from using the real life identity of the ex spy and have changed the name of Taapsee's character in the film to Shabana.
Based out of Lucknow, Shabana exists in real life and has been inculcate in the system after they identified her as a potential agent, much like reel Shabana.
Film maker Neeraj Pandey has taken extra precautions and is keeping the identity of the ex undercover agent under wraps.
It is believed that Naam Shabana is a film based on a real life undercover operation conducted in Malaysia. The film will be a visual representation of the sequence of events that unfolded in real life.
Gulshan Kumar and Cape of Good Films presents, A Plan C Studios production Neeraj Pandey's Naam Shabana directed by Shivam Nair is all set to release on 31st March 2017.
