The makers of Ittefaq are trying everything to keep the audience in suspense and are not giving any spoilers for the film. In fact, the actors have kept away from media interaction so that they don't reveal their characters.

Now in a unique move, the makers of Ittefaq have decided to release the film on Friday in UAE as well. Usually, films in UAE release on Thursday but as it's a suspense thriller and the makers don't want the suspense to be out, so they have taken this step. Now the film will be released on Friday only.

Ittefaq is 100-minute non-stop thriller which has no songs. The story of the film revolves around Dev (Akshaye Khanna), a police officer, who is investigating a double murder case that has only two witnesses, who are also the prime suspects. The suspects - Vikram (Siddharth Malhotra), an acclaimed writer, and Maya (Sonakshi Sinha), a young homemaker, have different narratives about the events of that fateful night. Both the stories seem true but there can be only one truth. Dev is torn between the two versions of the story, and will not settle till he finds out what happened that night.

It is the directorial debut of late filmmaker BR Chopra's son Abhay. It is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions, and BR films. The film is slated to release worldwide on November 3, 2017.
