Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike which is winning hearts and earning big on Box-Office has crossed another milestone. On its 10th day, the film has entered ₹ 100 crores club and has become the first film of 2019 to cross the mark.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the detail on social media and wrote, "And #Uri crosses ₹ 💯 cr... Sure, ₹ 💯 cr is *not* the yardstick to gauge the success of a film, but it should be celebrated when mid-sized films like #SKTKS, #Raazi, #Stree, #BadhaaiHo and #UriTheSurgicalStrike hit century... Content is king and the audiences are king makers!"
Within the span of three days post the film's release, URI - The Surgical Strike recovered its budget of 28 Cr which touts the film to be a blockbuster.
Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on the surgical strikes which were carried out by the Indian army in 2016. Besides Vicky Kaushal, the film also features Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and debutante Mohit Raina. The film has been directed by Aditya Dhar and it has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
