Sonam Kapoor is all set to play Zoya Solanki in the upcoming rom-com 'The Zoya Factor'. Born on the eve of India's first cricket World Cup win, she is deemed to be 'bloody world-famous' by his proud father. Flash forward to adulthood, we find that luck and Zoya aren't the best of friends.
Her personal life is a wreck and her career isn't flourishing until she lands an assignment with the Indian Cricket Team. For a normal person, this would be a dream come true, but Zoya breaks the fourth wall and tells us she hates cricket. Soon, she comes into contact with the team and its captain Nikhil Khoda (Dulquer Salmaan) who is himself on a bad streak.
The word about Zoya being born on the day Kapil Dev won the World Cup spreads, and she heralded as a good luck charm of the Indian Cricket. Zoya doesn't anticipate how becoming a prophet would bring about an upheaval in her life, also putting her romance with Nikhil Khoda in danger.
Based Anuja Chauhan's novel, 'Zoya Factor' is a rom-com about Zoya (Sonam K Ahuja), an advertising agent and her relationship with the captain of team India, Nikhil Khoda (Dulquer Saleem).
The film is being directed by Abhishek Sharma, and Fox Star Hindi is producing it. The film is slated to release on 20th September 2019.
