Currently basking in the glory of his performance in Noah Baumbach's divorce drama 'Marriage Story', Adam Driver is having a pretty good time at the on-going Telluride Film Festival. The 'Force Awakens' star has won rave reviews along with his co-stars Scarlett Johanssen and Alan Alda, already starting a well-deserved Oscar buzz.

Along with filmmaker Philip Kaufman and actress Renee Zellweger, Adam Driver was to be awarded Silver Medallion Tribute honors at the film festival. As if this wasn't huge already, Driver was pleasantly surprised when the honor was given to him by none other than the legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese!

Scorsese took the festival by surprise, going on to speak about Driver's immense talent, "What you see before you is a great actor, a great screen presence, whether it's the HBO shows or whether it's 'BlacKkKlansman' or 'Paterson, even the film we made.`

Adam Driver starred as Francisco Garrpe in Scorsese's passion project 'Silence' (2016). He has already been nominated for an Oscar for 'Blackkklansman' and with 'Marriage Story' could very well be on his way to a second Oscar nomination. He also stars in Scott Z. Burns' 'The Report' which is also being played at Telluride Film Festival.
