Radhika Apte To Star in Apple TV's 'Shantaram' Adaptation

Radhika Apte is truly one of our generation's best working actresses. Already a global star with her Netflix appearances in 'Sacred Games', 'Ghoul', and 'Lust Stories', the 'Andhadhun' star is moving to a different OTT platform for now.

Radhika Apte has been cast as a series regular in Apple Tv's adaptation of Gregory Roberts' novel 'Shantaram' She will be playing the role of Kavitha, an Indian Journalist looking for answers. Meanwhile, 'Sons of Anarchy' alumn Charlie Hunnam has been cast as Lindsay.

Apple Streaming Service' has acquired the rights of Gregory David Roberts' best selling novel 'Shantaram' and its sequel 'The Mountain Shadow'. The novel will be adapted into a 10 episode series penned by Eric Warren Singer and David Manson.

'Shantaram' is a semi-autobiographical account of an Australian heroin addict who escapes from prison and his country, ending up in the slums of Mumbai. Assuming the name Lindsay, his life takes a different turn when he meets Prabaker, a spirited taxi driver.

'Shantaram' will be released on Apple TV + following the streamer's launch in November.
