Terrence Malick's 'The Last Planet' Adds Aidan Turner

With "A Hidden Life" all set for an award season release, Malick has already begun working on his next project. The Biblical drama titled "The Last Planet" will take the filmmaker back to his philosophical roots. The film will tell the story of Jesus Christ through a series of parables.

Actor Aidan Turner has been added to Malick's project and will be playing Apostle Andrew. Geza Rohrig (Son of Saul) will play Jesus, Matthias Schoenaerts will portray Apostle Peter, and Mark Rylance will be playing four versions of Satan.

He has joined a cast comprising of Joseph Fiennes, Ben Kingsley, Douglas Booth, Tawfeek Barhom, Martin McCann, Ori Pfeffer, Shadi Mar' i, Makram Khoury, Numan Acar, Emilio De Marchi, Bjorn Thors, Alfonso Postiglione, and Lorenzo Gioielli.

Terrence Malick's "A Hidden Life" stars August Diehl, Valerie Pachner, Michael Nyqvist, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alexander Fehling, and Bruno Ganz. It premiered at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival on May 19, 2019. It was then acquired by Fox Searchlight Pictures and is scheduled to be released theatrically on December 13, 2019.
