Rating: **1/2

Mumbai, two youngsters Usman and Omar get arrested along with their guide Subhan. Umar and Omar's real names were Rakesh and Amit who converted to Islam after being brainwashed by Buraq Ansari (Gulshan Devaiah).

Buraq has no criminal record and his face is covered in his videos and Indian intelligence has no idea of identity. He's planning a big terrorist attack in India and soon the senior intelligence official Roy (Rajesh Tailang) calls out our hero Karanveer Singh Dogra (Vidyut Jammwal), to handle the case.

He is joined in his mission by Bhavana Reddy (Adah Sharma) and two British Intelligence agents, Mallika Sood (Angira Dhar) and Armaan Akhtar (Sumeet Thakur) together they set out to find Buraq and stop him anyhow. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

Aditya Datt's 'Commando 3' uses the tried and tested Bollywood formula that has worked most of the time. The hero makes a grand entry and saves a girl from being harassed with some heroic and hefty patriotic dialogues. The first half of the story has enough action for Vidyut to show off his extraordinary stunt skills but the story takes time to get you hooked.

The second half of Commando 3 has some praiseworthy twists and turns but where the film fails badly is the screenplay. The main villain of the film is not Buraq its the super long and stretched out screenplay. It tries to fit in more than there is space for which at times also makes you scratch your head and lose interest in the film and that's where Commando 3 loses most of its points and is inches away from becoming just illogical action.

Jumping to the acting department, Vidyut Jammwal as Commando Karanveer Singh Dogra shines in every scene once again taking his action graph to the next level and Its a delight to watch him on the screen which does give you an adrenaline rush. His character is all about style, action, and patriotism. He carries the film most of the time on his strong shoulders.

Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar too deserve all the praise for their characters and it's good to see the leading ladies of the film in a kickass avatar doing some top-notch action here but the guy who doesn't impress us is Gulshan Devaiah. He doesn't look convincing as the barbaric and scary (Buraq Ansari) though he tries to give his best, unlike his previous films, he fails to leave an impact in his character this time.

The background score of the film attempts to intensify the drama and cater to the thrill and it but feels like too much at times.

So overall, Commando 3 is an adrenaline-pumping ride full of action and thrill from the very start till the end but it lacks a strong a storyline to support it and without that, it feels more like a 'just go with it' adventure without much logic. Still, it can be watched for some impressive action & thrill and obviously, Vidyut Jammwal.
