Saif Ali Khan had a great time with son Ebrahim in New York. And although Saif is not a sucker for car racing, the father-son duo bonded really well over the sport.

Saif remembers one touching momentin New York. "They sent Ebrahim a little racing outfit from there. He was really kicked."

Saif doesn't race cars in real life. "No, I'd never race cars. It's one of the most popular sports in the US. But I don't think I'd even want to watch car races. But my son Ebrahim loves it. Even in my film, cinematographer Binod Pradhan has imparted an international quality to the sport.."

This is the second time Saif paired up with Rani Mukherji for Tara Rum Pum. "Rani was good in Hum Tum. I'm competitive with her because she's a really talented actor. I just want to be better than her on screen. Even as a person, I vibe well with her. We would sit around and talk," Saif says.

Is Siddharth Anand's Tara Rum Pum about the travails of a racing-car driver, inspired by Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder? Saif says, " The only thing in common with Days of Thunder in Tara Rum Pum is the car racing background."
