The sudden death of Mani Rathnam's elder brother G.Srinivasan on Sunday has left the maverick director shell-shocked.
Abhishek, just back from his honeymoon, rushed to be by Mani's side on Tuesday. G. Srinivasan was the producer of Abhishek's Yuva and Guru.
The director has taken the death of his only brother very badly.
Madhavan who has worked in the maximum number of films with Mani seems dazed. "GS was such a nice guy. To die like this while on a holiday with his wife and
children... ... not done, yaar!"
Mani's brother was on a holiday with his family in Manali.
"He sneezed and fell into a 20-feet deep gorge. What a horrible way to die," says Madhavan. "Mani was very very close to his brother. GS looked after all of Mani's business
interests. But more than that. Mani is being very brave about it. But it's tragedy he won't be be able to get over in a long time."
