Sushmita-Wasim part ways after being together for over five months
Splitsville. It's over between Sushmita Sen and Wasim Akram. The actor and the Pakistani cricketer were together
for the past few months, but parted ways recently.
One learns that Sushmita's growing closeness to Indian Premier League (IPL) chief Lalit Modi didn't go down too well
They were serious about each other and had talked about living together in the future.
While he couldn't move to India, and she didn't want to live in Pakistan, they'd discussed living together in Dubai,
where his children live. However as time passed, she seemed reluctant to leave the city and move with him to Dubai.
He stayed back after the IPL for as long as he could, even though he wasn't very comfortable being part of her glam
circle. But the differences just kept increasing till they mutually decided to call it off.
They met on an Indian dance show where they were both judges. The sparks were obvious on screen as well but
nothing happened at the time because he was still married.
After his wife Huma passed away in October
2009, they became really close. Sush and Was (Akram's cricket name) were spotted together at many private
parties and at a dinner with her mom. But they both stuck to the "we are just friends" version.
spending a lot of time in India due to his commitment to Shah Rukh Khan's IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. The
former left-arm fast bowler looked like he had found some happiness after the tragedy when he started
dating the actress.
