Atul Kulkarni signs up Zanjeer with Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka

/> Zanjeer an upcoming action film, is a remake of the 1973 Hindi film of the same name. The original movie had Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in the lead. The film stars Ram Charan Teja playing Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra playing Jaya Bachchan respectively.

The latest to add up the cast is actor Atul Kulkarni best remembered for his roles in films like Page 3 and Aamir Khan starrer Rang De Basanti.

"I would be working on Zanjeer remake. The role that I play is completely new and original. It was not there in the 1973 film." said Atul. He also has K C Bokadia's film Dirty Politics in his sleeves. The film is said to be based on the Bhanwari murder case.

Atul also adds "I am yet to start shooting for the film. It would begin from this month end." The film also stars Sanjay Dutt playing the role of Sher Khan which was originally enacted by veteran Pran.

The film is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and is heading for 2013 release.
