Model-turned-actress Deepika Padukone turned 27 on Saturday.
The actress will be celebrating her birthday with her parents and her sister Aneesha, who will fly down from Bangalore to Mumbai for the day, said media reports.
Padukone will be spending the entire day with her family and close friends. At night, she is expected to resume shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Ram Leela' with Ranveer Singh.
The buzz is that the film crew members are also planning a small celebration on the sets.
Born to badminton player Prakash Padukone, she made her debut in the film industry with a Kannada film 'Aishwarya' in 2006.
The actress marked her presence with her debut in the Bollywood by starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film 'Om Shanti Om', which even earned her accolades and the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.
While her performance in 'Love Aaj Kal' bagged her a Filmfare nomination in the Best Actress category, the same in 'Housefull' emerged as a huge commercial success.
Her recent film 'Cocktail' has also earned unanimous critical appreciation for her performance.
The actress currently has two films, 'Race 2' and the 'Chennai Express' with Shah Rukh Khan, lined up.
