Karisma to tutor the south actress Taapsee in the looks and speech department for her debut 'Chashme Baddoor'

The arc lights can be very unforgiving if a newcomer actress gets her fashion wrong. First impressions after all matter most. Perhaps the makers of Chashme Baddoor are well aware of this reality. After all, they are making sure Taapsee is groomed by Karisma Kapoor for her debut showdown in B-Town.

Seems like director David Dhawan is leaving no stone unturned. In fact, he had the starlet fly all the way from Hyderabad to Mumbai one week in advance to enable her to handle the extensive promotions of her debut Hindi film.

`Taapsee, who is otherwise acquainted with the mechanism of a different industry altogether in the South after working in several Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films, will now be going through the required training. She'll be given tips on how to wear the right clothes for events, utter the right words while preparing for media questions,` says a source close to her.

Karisma and Dhawan go back a long way and this association played a part in the director's decision to rope her in. `Dhawan delivered some of his biggest hits - be it Judwaa or Biwi No. 1 - with Karisma as the lead actress. Besides, she's a style diva who has carried herself well through ups and downs,` adds the informer.

The 25-year-old rookie is apparently thrilled to get in touch with Dhawan's favourite actress from the '90s, as she has never met her before.


`We won't be surprised if the two of them break into Punjabi as the young actress is originally from Punjab. Her session will include a tête-a-tête with Karisma and needless to mention, she is happy that the director made the meeting possible.

The plan is to learn a bit on how to handle the glare and the pressure,` adds the source.
