'Kochadiyaan' teaser not coming out on Tamil New Year

Tamil director Soundarya R. Ashwin has rubbished rumours that the teaser of her father Rajinikanth-starrer upcoming Tamil period drama "Kochadiyaan" will be released on the occasion of Tamil New Year.

"Hey guys teaser release on April 14 (Tamil New Year) is a rumour. We are all working hard towards releasing a trailer soon though. Will keep you all updated," posted Soundarya, who directs the film, on her Twitter page.

"But you can expect some new stills coming this week. Our Thalaivar's (Rajinikanth's) look," she further posted.

Touted to be India's first 3D performance capturing film, "Kochadiyaan" also features Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Shobhana, Aadi Pinisetty, R. Sarath Kumar and Nassar.


Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment have jointly produced the film, which has music by A.R. Rahman. Cinematography is by Rajiv Menon.

The film is being planned for a summer release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English.
