Athlete Milkha Singh's wife Nirmal Kaur is impressed by actor Farhan Akhtar, who plays the Flying Sikh in forthcoming film "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag".

The movie is inspired by Milkha Singh, known for his brilliant running.

Nirmal Kaur, the former captain of the national women's volleyball team, is impressed by the way Akhtar changed his appearance for the character and went through rigorous physical training.

According to sources, Nirmal Kaur said that Akhtar's efforts in the film should fetch him some prestigious awards.

The teaser of the film, which was released last year with "Dabangg 2", had garnered a good response from the audience. The official trailer is expected to be out soon.

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" also features Sonam Kapoor and is slated to release July 12.
