Morocco in Bombay??? Exactly!! Last night people experienced Morocco in Bombay with the launch of New Restaurant, Lounge and Bar "Morokko" with great fanfare.
One could easily get in to the Moroccan frame of mind once they entered "Morokko" what with 8000 sq. ft of pure Moroccan charm. Very Moroccan ambience with low,
cushioned seatings with a hookah each at every table. Beautiful Open air bar with four pillars (minars) 18 sq.ft each surrounding the bar.
Lovely pool side to spend
some lovely time. 4500 sq.ft of disc area where resident DJ Asher played music ranging from hip hop to bhangra mix to bollywood.
Capt. Rohit Jhamb played the perfect host welcoming one & all equally. The Morokkan party began with veteran and yesteryear actors RamMohan Sharma (whose son
Manoj Sharma is the other partner of Morokko) Asha Parekh, Anjana Mumtaz having a good time.
The party had begun and to add some charm to it, one saw younger generation actors like Parmeet Sethi with Archana Puran Singh, Ayesha Jhulka walk in. Also spotted
were Amita Nangia, Rakesh Bedi, Avinash Wadhwan, Sumeet Saigal etc.
Shawar, Zulfi, Muzamil, Bunty Grewal and Pravin Sirohi were seen having a good time amongst themselves. Jewellery designer Amisha Khanna, Vie Lounge owners Manish
and Kunal were seen having a good time. Myst owners Gaurav, Rahul and Irfan were also present to congratulate their old time buddy Capt.Rohit Jhamb.
Lots of TV celebs spotted like Hiten Tejwani (minus Gauri Pradhan), Manoj Bohra with Teejay Sidhu. The usual gang of Manoj Bidwai, Ravee Gupta, Kiran Bawa with
husband Raj Manektala were also present.
Amir Ali, Dpak were seen mingling with the guests. The lively DJ Akhtar was also spotted with good friend Brinda
Parekh who sported a micro-mini. Rohit Roy walked in much later.
To provide action to the party were Rahul Nanda, the ever smiling Siddhaarth Kanan.
Just when the party was getting hotter, Salman Khan walked in to pay respects to Veteran actor Ram Mohan Sharma.
The party ended with Govinda who walked in much after 2.30, stayed for a while.
In short, people had a Morokko of a time at the launch of "Morokko".
