Manisha's grand comeback: New Boyfriend, New Films

After a gong gap of 13 years Sanjay Leela Bhasli is teaming up with his Khamoshi: The Musical heroine Manisha Koirala for a film which takes her back to the same Catholic milieu.

Manisha, who has just returned from a trip to the US can't stop raving about her steady boyfriend Chris, SLB and her new project 'My Friend Pinto'.

Tells Manisha, “I’ve been dividing my time between Mumbai and the US, where things are going well between Chris and me. But cinema and I can’t be separated. I’m looking forward to a fresh start. After I did my friend Deepti Naval’s film Do Paise Ki Dhoop Char Aane Ki Baarish I’m hungry for challenging roles. None of those two-songs five-scene roles.”

She is also on the verge of signing films with Yash Raj Films and Raj Kumar Santoshi with whom she had earlier worked in Lajja.

"Actually when I met them, I had lost a lot of weight. But now after my return from the US, I’ve gained some weight. I’m going to lose the extra kilos and then make a public appearance again, " she adds.

According to the the latest buzz Manisha is also seriously contemplating joining her family in Nepal and dabble with a new career in politics. Her grandfather BP Koirala and her granduncle GP Koirala have both have been ex-Prime Ministers of Nepal.

It is still not clear whether she will contest elections as an Independent candidate or join the Nepali Congress, but the actress is serious about an alternate career.
