Gabbar is Back
Bollywood had to wait for a while before getting its 2nd real hit of 2015. With Akshay Kumar proving again to be the most bankable star, this movie managed to pull the audience to the multiplexes despite poor critic reviews. The movie did a healthy business of close to 90 Crore rupees.
The surprise hit of the year starring Deepika Padukone, Piku successfully created a place in the heart of the critics and audience. With strong performances from Sr. Bachchan and Deepika, the movie did well at the box office, garnering a business of 80 Crores domestically.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns
The biggest hit of 2015, Tanu Weds Manu Returns set the cash registers ringing with a strong script and its star performer, Kangana Ranaut. Breaching the 100 Crore mark in India, it further cemented Kangana's position as one of the most best actresses in Bollywood currently.
Dil Dhadakne Do
Zoya Akhtar's much anticipated film did well to live up to audience's expectations. The movie flourished on the performances of Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, and Anil Kapoor. The strong story with a brilliant ensemble cast worked wonders for the movie, helping it recover 50 Crore in its first week.
