Padmaavat ( 2018)
Popular for its top controversies, Deepika Padukone starrer 'Padmaavat' was a big hit for its astonishing VFX effects. Remember Deepika taking the saffron cloth around her belly, well it was the VFX effect. Not only this, the forts, palaces, crowd multiplication, fire Jauhar scene and so many more were all works of VFX.
With Shah Rukh Khan playing a dwarf in 'Zero', VFX again became the center of affairs. Reportedly, visual effects were used to make Khan's character three feet tall. With a budget of 70 crores for the only VFX, Zero is Shah Rukh's most expensive budget film till date.

Shivaay ( 2016)
Ajay Devgn starrer 'Shivaay' was highly praised for its trailer but unfortunately, the film disappointed the fans. In spite of this, the movie did hit a benchmark in terms of VFX. 'Baahubali: The Beginning' and 'Shivaay', both had an avalanche sequence. 'Shivaay' used VFX in perfect proportions throughout the movie, which the audience didn't notice.
Krrish 3 (2013)
Hrithik Roshan starring Krrish 3 was probably the most advanced our cinema has gone when it comes to superheroes. The movie became one of the biggest grosser of all time and of course, the film was well praised for its VFX works.
Vikram Kumar's sci-fi thriller film, '24' had a quite different feel to it as the visual effects were perfectly used in the movie for sequences that involved time freeze. Despite '24' being a regional movie, it did surprise audiences with its VFX.

With 3,400 VFX shots, Shah Rukh Khan's Ra. One set a new benchmark for VFX in Hindi movies. The VFX in Anubhav Sinha's movie won the National Award for Best Special Effects and it's one of the films with the best VFX.

Director Shankar's 'Enthiran' (The Robot) was released 7 years ago. But in terms of Visual Effects, it can challenge many movies that were released quite recently. The movie was a cocktail of VFX. Baahubali Series (2015-2017)
Prabhas starrer has to be one of the best films in Indian cinema: a big-budget action film with 'too good to be true' special effects.
