'Mad Men' Scribe Being Eyed for 'Hawkeye' Series

Fans know that Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton aka Hawkeye is overdue for an extended character study. Disney knows it too, and it would like you to know that they aren't messing around. Disney is bringing in one of the most experienced writers from one of the best shows on television.

Jonathan Igla, the writer known for his work on Matthew Weiner's 'Mad Men' has been brought in to shepherd the spin-off series for Disney's streaming outlet. Jonathan Igla will not only serve as the showrunner but also executive produce the Hawkeye series for Disney +

It is believed that the show will see Clint Barton showing the ropes to a young Kate Bishop, destined to take over as the bow-and-arrow wielding Avenger. The show doesn't have a release date as of now, but will not debut until the fall of of 2021 along with 'Loki', 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier', and 'WandaVision' for Disney +.
