After starring in the long-running sci-fi drama 'Doctor Who' and royal drama 'Victoria', Jenna Coleman is set to star in Netflix's serial-killer drama 'The Serpent'. It is based on the life of Charles Sobhraj, popularly known as the 'Bikini Killer.'
Coleman, on her inclusion, has said, ` 'The Serpent' intoxicated me into the dark seductive world of Charles Sobhraj. I'm so looking forward to delving into hippie-trail depths and bringing to life this unfathomable real-life story alongside Tahar, Billy, Ellie, Tom, Richard and the wonderful cast and production team for the BBC and Netflix.`
Coleman will play Marie-Andree Leclerc, a native of Canada who becomes an accomplice of the notorious serial-killer Sobhraj, who will be played by Tahar Rahim. (A Prophet) Some of the other cast members include Ellie Bamber and Billy Howle.
'The Serpent' is written by Toby Finlay and Richard Warlow and will be launched by BBC for Netflix next year.
