Martin Scorsese's 'The Irishman' has released its official poster for the film. The makers of the film unveiled the poster which featured the holy trinity of Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci at the heart of this sprawling gangster epic. The caption reads, "The Irishman. In select theaters November 1st and on Netflix November 27th."
'The Irishman' is written by Steven Zaillian an directed by Martin Scorsese. Scorsese will be collaborating for the ninth time with Robert De Niro, also be reuniting with Joe Pesci. The director, for the very first time in his career, will be working with Al Pacino. It also stars Jesse Plemons, Anna Paquin, Harvey Keitel, Stephen Graham, Bobby Cannavale, Ray Romano, and Jack Huston.
'The Irishman' is based on Frank Sheeran's memoir 'I Heard You Paint Houses'. 'The Irishman' is the story of an aging hitman Frank Sheeran (Robert De Niro) who recalls his possible involvement in the disappearance of labor leader Jimmy Hoffa (Al Pacino) a\d his involvement with the Buffalino crime family.
To foster its Oscar chances like last year's 'Roma', Netflix has decided to provide 'The Irishman' with a limited theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles on November 1. More screen will be added in both the United States and the United Kingdom on November 8, before finally becoming available to stream on Netflix on November 27.
