Disney Submits Its Acting Nominations For Oscars

Despite the ongoing debate about Marvel movies being or not being `cinema` Kevin Feige is still pushing `Avengers: Endgame` for the glory of the Oscars. `Avengers: Endgame` After started its Oscar campaign with Best Picture and other technical categories like Best Sound Mixing, Editing, Sound Editing, and Costume Design is now aiming for acting nominations.

Disney has submitted the following list of 13 actors for Best Supporting Actor/Actresses- Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Josh Brolin, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Don Cheadle, Zoe Saldana, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Scarlett Johansson, and Gwyneth Paltrow. It was planned that Downey would be pushed for a Best Actor consideration for his now-iconic role of `Iron Man` but the actor refused.

Directed by Russo Brothers and co-written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, "Avengers: Endgame" picks up after the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018). With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble once more in order to reverse Thanos' actions and restore balance to the universe. The movie made $2.798 billion worldwide, obliterating Box-office records of all kind.
