Framed Eggs Recipe


  • 1 Egg
  • 1 slice Bread
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • A pinch of Salt


  1. Cut out center of bread slices with knife. Spread both sides of bread with butter.
  2. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in karhai (skillet) over medium heat.
  3. Brown bread slice in karahi over medium-high heat. Turn bread over.
  4. Break egg into a cup.
  5. Carefully slip the egg into the hole in the bread slice. Lower heat; cover karahi and cook until egg white is set.
  6. Sprinkle egg with salt. Remove from pan with large spatula.

Tip: Get bigger, fluffier omlettes by adding a teaspoon of flour (maida) to each egg. This also helps the omlette to keep its shape longer.
