Spice Paneer Wraps Recipe


    For the Roomali Rotis
  • 250 gm Wheat Flour
  • 150 gm Refined Flour
  • A pinch of Salt

  • For the Stuffing
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • Salt according to taste
  • 50 gm Onion, chopped
  • tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Green Chillies, chopped
  • 75 gm Capsicum, cut into strips
  • 200 gms Cottage cheese, cut into 1 inch x inch fingers
  • 8 Roomali Rotis

  • For the Accompaniment
  • Mint Chutney
  • 1 Onion, sliced

  • For the garnish
  • 4 Green Chillies
  • 4 Lemon Wedges
  • A few Onion rings
  • 1 Cucumber, chopped


    For the Roomali rotis
  1. Combine all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough, adding a little water.
  2. Make into small balls and roll into rotis. Slap each roti with the hands and toss in the air to expand.
  3. Cook over inverted griddle till done.

  4. For the stuffing
  5. Heat oil, add cumin seeds, onions and capsicum, ginger, tomatoes and green chillies. Cook.
  6. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and seasoning and saute for a while.
  7. Add cottage cheese and mix.
  8. Add the stuffing in the roomali rotis, add sliced onion, mint chutney and roll the rotis.
  9. Garnish with a few Onion rings, chopped Cucumber, green chilli and a lemon wedge and serve.
