Arjun Bijlani shares an emotional post on Sandeep UnniKrishnan birth anniversary, as he portrays him in ZEE5's State of Siege: 26/11

India's biggest content creator, ZEE5 is all set to release its most awaited show 'State of Siege: 26/11' which is based on the terrifying attacks of 26/11. Actor Arjun Bijlani will be making his OTT debut with the show where he would be playing the role of the brave martyr, Major Sandeep UnniKrishnan.

Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was the NSG commando who lost his life while rescuing many hostages during the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai. Actor Arjun Bijlani feels that it is an honour to play the character of such a respected and brave person. 

On the birth anniversary of the Major Sandeep UnniKrishnan, the actor took to his social media and shared an emotional post and wrote, "My salute to our brave heart #MajorSandeepUnniKrishnan who was martyred in the mumbai attacks 26/11 . U will always have a special place in all our hearts. It's an honour to play you in #StateOfSeige2611 . Respect and love to the family . Jai hind."



Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan martyred after saving several hostages in the 26/11 terrorist attack at The Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai. In 2009, he was awarded the Ashoka Chakra posthumously, which is India's highest civilian military honour.

Based on Sandeep Unnithan's book 'Black Tornado: The Three Sieges of Mumbai 26/11', State of Siege: 26/11 is one of the most awaited projects based on the horrifying terror attack which will be disclosing many unknown facts about the entire incident. Starring Arjan Bajwa, Arjun Bijlani, Vivek Dahiya, Mukul Dev, Sid Makkar, Tara Alisha Berry, Khalida Jaan, Jyoti Gauba, Roshni Sahota, Suzanne Bernert, Naren Kumar and Jason Shah. Directed by Matthew Leutwyler, the series will release on ZEE5 on 20th March 2020.
