After 'Shershaah', Thadam's Hindi remake film was supposed to be Sidharth Malhotra's second film, where he was about to portray the double role. But as per the latest reports, the actor has opted out of the project due to professional reasons. The film is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani and will mark the directorial debut of Vardhan Ketkar.
Reportedly, the actor was demanding a new screenplay and when things didn't turn well, then Sidharth left the project. Whereas Mrunal Thakur still remains in the film. Now, it has been stated that Aditya Roy Kapur will replace the actor in the remake. In the film, Mrunal Thakur will essay the role of a police officer and Aditya will don a double role.
The plot of the film revolves around the murder of a young man and the story takes a confusion ensues when the key accused in the murder is found to have a look-alike. 'Thadam' is a Tamil film released in March 2019, which featured Arun Vijay, Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat, and Vidya Pradeep in the pivotal roles.
On the professional front, last time we saw Sidharth Malhotra in Milap Zaveri's romantic-drama film, 'Marjaavaan' (2019) opposite Tara Sutaria. Talking about his future upcoming project, Sidharth will be seen sharing the screen with his rumored girlfriend Kiara Advani in Vishnuvardhan's 'Shershaah' and Mission Majnu opposite Rashmika Mandanna.
