There is no shortage of sequels in Bollywood but most of them just ride high on the success of the prequels but still, there are some that actually managed to impress the audience just like the previous ones and some did way better and even got the bells ringing on the box office. So here they are!
10. Raaz 2 (2009)
Not a direct sequel to 'Raaz' but still, this one managed the scare the hell out of us. Emraan Hashmi and Kangna Ranaut's performances were great as always and the dialogue 'Tum Ashhuddh Ho, Andar Se Sadh Chuke Ho' reminded us of our sins too.
9. Tiger Zinda Hai (2017)
This one did not just do more business than its prequel but also has a better rating on IMDB than 'Ek Tha Tiger'. One of the most expensive Hindi films of all time it earned more than 330 crores at the box office.
8. Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015)
When compared to the original one this one did not get a status of a cult film but still, Kartik Aaryan, Sunny Nijjar and Omkar Kapoor's journey to the realization of the toxicity of love was a hilarious one and Kartik's monologue once again rocked.
7. Dhoom 2 (2006)
If Farhan Akhtar directs a sequel then it is surely going to be way better than the original film and that's what this one was. From the action to the robbery scenes, everything in this one was top notch and the best thing was Hrithik Roshan as the flawless thief 'Mr.A'.
6. Krrish (2006)
'Jaadu' leaves Earth after giving Rohit his powers back but that's not the end of their journey, Rohit's son Krishna grows to be more intelligent and powerful than Rohit and his fate makes him what he was destined to become 'Krrish'.
5. Phir Hera Pheri (2006)
After becoming millionaires, the lives of Raju, Shyam. and Babu Rao change suddenly when they get cheated by a con artist. They run for their lives once again as they have a dreaded gangster with a speech impairment after them who wants his money back.
4. Jolly LLB 2 (2017)
Jagdishwar Mishra cheats a woman promising he would get her and her husband justice. But when the woman commits suicide after knowing his lie Jagdish's conscience makes him feel guilty and he tries to make things right.
3. Don 2 (2011)
Undoubtedly one of the best sequels of Bollywood till date also directed by Farhan Akhtar this heist-action-drama was high on content and quality and matches the level of Hollywood thrillers in every frame.
2. Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015)
There are not many films that are better than the previous ones but this one did it. Aanand Rai's direction Madhavan's acting, Kangna's theatrics, Pappi Bhaiya's comic timing, and Jimmy Shergill's charm worked like magic once again.
1. Lage Raho Munnabhai (2009)
A marvel of a film, this one is without a doubt the best sequel Bollywood has ever seen. Who would have thought that Rajkumar Hirani will make something like 'Gandhigiri' so entertaining and deliver Bapu's messages at the same time with perfection.
