Vikas Manaktala, the Punjabi munda from Delhi has become very popular as Huda the Jat, in SAB TV's 'Left Right Left'. We caught with up this model-turned-actor for a
quick chit chat at the press conference announcing the launch of the second season of this Army school show. Vikas has got no less attitude than the character he is
essaying.
What more can we expect from Huda in the upcoming second season of LRL?
A lot, but I will not want to spoil the fun by giving away all the juicy details. Find out for yourself by watching the show.
Huda has got a lot of spunk, how much of it is you?
There is a certain amount of Vikas in Huda, no doubt.
Huda believes that it's either my way or the highway?
Huda wants to correct you that his way is the highway.
How has the public reacted to your character?
It's been really positive Some times back, one of my fans from Muscat mailed me telling that her father was going through some crisis and was really upset. At night during
the 'LRL' show, some of my comic antics brought a smile on his face. She thanked me for making her father happy. I was really touched.
Do you think Huda will finally get Naina?
Look boss, Huda never accepts defeat. He will keep on trying till his Phulan says yes.
What does your girl friend think, regarding your flirtatious character?
I am sorry to inform that we have broken up. So currently I am trying to mend my broken heart. New entries are always welcome.
What would you do if somebody behaved the same way with you, as Huda does with others?
I would give a smile and pat him on the back saying, keep it up bro.
How did you prepare for the show?
We (the entire team) did about 10 days of training, at the, Raigad Military School. Besides this, I worked for over a month on my character.
Did you meet many Jat folk to learn their typical mannerisms?
Being a Delhiite, I do know many of them. Jats, are really nice people. You will never get bored in their company.
